Chuck E. Cheese’s Hiring Staff For Planned October Opening In Costa Rica

Looking for work? Chuck E. Cheese’s may the fit for you, as the chain of American family entertainment centers and restaurants gets ready to open in Costa Rica in October.

The first Chuck E. Cheese’s will open in Plaza Bratsi in Heredia, with two additional locations in the Greater Metropolitan Area of San Jose GAM) planned for 2018 and 2019.

The Costa Rican franchisor, Corporación Álvarez y Marín, said it has begun to hire staff, starting with the position of personnel administrator, operations assistant and chief technician.

The restaurant, at 2,000 square meters (21,000 square feet), and at an investment of US$3 million dollars, will be the largest in the chain throughout Central America, which already operates in Panama, Guatemala and other Latin American countries.

Adriana Álvarez, CEO of Álvarez y Marín said the company had acquired the franchise for Costa Rica a few years ago (the first announcement was in 2013, with the first store to be opened in 2014 see Elfinancierocr.com), however until now they had not found a point of sale that adjusted to the requirements requested by the owners of the chain.

The opening of Chuck E. Cheese’s will generate at least 60 direct jobs for each restaurant.
