Downpours Can’t Stop The Faith!

More downpours are expected for this Tuesday afternoon.

Thousands of Catholic faithful from across the country are expected to descend on the Basilica de Los Angeles in the old metropolis, to pay homage to the Virgen de Los Angeles (Lady of Angels), or La Negrita, as she is oftern referred to, the patron saint of Costa Rica.

Although some make the walk from as far as Guanacaste, Perez Zeledon and the Southern Zone, many will arrive by car or bus to San Jose to then walk to Cartago, to arrive Monday night or early Tuesday morning, for the start of the August 2 religious celebrations
