Costa Rica News – Remains of a ship have turned up in Limon near Playa Grande (Manzanillo) beach.
The hull is believed to be a part of a ship called the Daisy Gray, a logging vessel left adrift over 60 years ago. The ship was built in 1936 and left adrift by its crew in 1954, when traveling from Honduras to Cuba.
The front part of the hull measures about 12 meters and has six beams. Other parts of the same ship have already been analyzed for over a year, such as the boiler and other pieces that made it possible to identify the type of ship. The structure has been under the protection of the National System of Conservation Areas (Sinac) and the Public Force.
