DNA of Suspect Found on Body of Tourist Killed in Costa Rica

Costa Rica News – The Judicial Investigation Organization has confirmed the presence of DNA from the only suspect on the body of the Spanish tourist murdered in Tortuguero. The woman was strangled on August 4th after going for a run on the trails in Tortuguero.
The Criminal Court of Pococí released the suspect, rejecting the request for preventive detention last Tuesday. The next hearing will be on August 16th, and they will again request his arrest. On that date they will provide evidence that his saliva was found on her breasts and that traces of his skin on her nails coincide with the idea that she tried to defend herself.
