Poás Volcano Opening Again in Costa Rica

Costa Rica News – The Poás volcano is reopening next week. This follows an investment of around ¢100 million. This is great news for the region because tourists will likely take part in rentals, restaurants and other tours or activities such as strawberry picking, trout fishing or visiting waterfalls.
The new way of operating will admit up to 1000 tourists per day. Time at the crater will be limited to 20 minutes for each group of 50 people. For now, just the parking lots, sanitary services and crater are reopened. Later on, the cafeteria, the store, amphitheaters, family areas and other trails, including that of Botos Lagoon may be opened.
