Last night into this morning many Costa Ricans enjoyed a clear sky that allowed them to view the total eclipse of the Moon. The Phenomenon began around 9:30 pm and lasted until 12:50 am.
While some used special equipment to capture photos and information, the phenomenon could actually be seen with the naked eye. There were some clouds at the start of the night but by the time the eclipse arrived there was an ideal sky.
A member of the Costa Rican Association of Astronomy confirmed at 10 pm the moon looked almost 50% covered by the shadow of the Earth and there was a reddish shadow already visible.
