ICE Taking Over Roads in Costa Rica

They can’t run their own business so lets give them more to do….

The Costa Rican Electricity Institute , ICE, will take over maintenance of the paralyzed road to San Carlos, temporarily, while a new plan is made and another construction company is hired to finish the central section.

The builder, Sánchez Carvajal, left the project in November with a settlement for slow progress. The main function of ICE will be preventing deterioration of sections already completed. ICE will focus on three areas: determining what works can be lost if not finished, repairing works already done, and maintenance such as cleaning pipes and drains.

The National Council of Roads (Conavi) explained that they are getting quotes and awaiting a complete list of work to be done
