Weather Conditions Keep Ruta 32 Closed, Could Re-Open This Friday Morning

If you are planning travel to or from San Jose and Limon this Friday (Aug. 3) take note that the re-opening of the Ruta 32 will be decided by officials of the MOPT at 6:00 am.

On Thursday afternoon the Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Transportes (MOPT) closed the Ruta 32 between Heredia and Guapiles due to heavy rain. The opening this morning will depend on weather conditions.
Alternate routes include the Bajos de Chilamate-Vuelta de Kopper, to/from Guapiles to Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí, San Carlos, Grecia or the Central Valley (San Jose); Ruta 126 by way of Vara Blanca (Heredia to Poas) to to Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí to Guapiles; and the Ruta 10 by way of Turrialba.
